Cueshe’s “Stay” – Ripoff!

It’s come to my attention that up and coming band Cueshe’s hit song “Stay” is a total ripoff of Silverchair’s “The Greatest View From Here”. I am all supportive for Pinoy bands and how they have changed the face of the local music scene. But really, copying or even remotely mimicking foreign bands is a disgrace. My ultimate favorites are Hale, Bamboo and Rivermaya — simply for their originality and talent. They make their own songs, unlike many who became famous because of other people’s songs, aka, those pseudo/cover bands.

Listen to both songs and judge for yourself: (Scroll down the download page and click on the “Free” button)

cueshe.. this band is definitely “pang-masa,” yes they are accomodating, but they aren’t really responsible musicians. you can easily depict from what kind of environment and upbringing they came from. during their first out-of-the-country gig which happened here in dubai, we got disappointed because these group of “syanos” think that all women chase them!!! (particularly their two (2) vocalists) we got dismayed because they act as if celebrities which differentiates them from other well-known pinoy alternative rock bands like bamboo, hale and orange and lemons. the words of their music are not even well-thought indeed very shallow. i’ve just observed that they fool their fans by making “pa-cute” and not by performing well as musicians. they really portray “pogi rock!” yuck. this band messed up with their fans here in dubai! the nerve to ask us to hang out in their rooms!!! to think that some of the band members are already married. they took advantage since they’re not in the philippines and basically distant from paparazzis and gossips. o well, to cueshe, what goes around, comes around. this is just your time but let me remind you that the transition of bands in the philippines is fast… so better use your popularity in a modest and professional way.. don’t ride on to your fame guys,,, you’ll lose your shine in time.
