I watched Panday last night. And I was not disappointed. It was not bad, not bad at all. I admit I didn’t have high expectations, so that’s probably why I liked it. Of course the special effects were not very good. But considering we live in a third world country and it’s already effort enough to make such a production for a show that shown five times a week, I’ve decided to take that flaw as a given.
Now that we got that out of the way, I truly, honestly liked the show considering that I do not particularly like Heart Evangelista and Jericho Rosales. And here’s why: the story is good. It’s surprisingly very good. I like the way that the two worlds were tied up and how Tristan (Rosales) thinks that Panday is nothing but a comics in a legend. And he, apparently, ends up being Panday’s heir. And it’s done in a nice, cohesive way.
There is not much to be said about the acting yet. But here’s a note to Rommel Montano: Your evil laugh just don’t cut it as freaky or scary. Work on it. It seems, however, that Heart, as Eden, will not be as annoyingly sweet and perky as Heart (and the other characters she played) is herself.
So the verdict is, I’m interested and impressed enough to continue watching it, for the mean time.

Before Panday, I never really liked Heart, but the first two days that I watched Panday, she seemed better than Anne Curtis. (Sorry Anne fans).
Panday as a whole could be entertaining, let’s wait for a couple of days more and see if it would pick up in excitement.
