Regarding the BATTLE of the TALENT SEARCH FINDS

A lot has been said about the allegations that certain fans cheated in the “Battle of the TALENT SEARCH FINDS” poll.

A group has accused me of being biased towards Jennylyn Mercado. Sinasabi ko na ngayon, at the risk of alienating some Chikadora readers, I AM NOT A JENNYLYN FAN! I have never liked Jennylyn, in fact I am often irritated by her. And during the Starstruck 1 search, my bet was Yasmien Kurdi. And no, I do not like Mark Herras either. They’re both talented in their own rights, and I know that. But I am in no means, biased towards either of them.

A commenter noted that in the Mark Herras poll, I had a “Mark Herras Sucks” option. Just as you are free to vote anybody, and in any way you can, I can also construct my polls in the way I want to. When I first made my Jennylyn poll I had a “Jennylyn sucks” option, and it was the leading choice of many poll voters. But since I am trying to promote goodwill here and trying to be friends with Jennylyn fans, I decided to remove the said option. Besides, it was the Jennylyn fans who requested for that poll. At ayokong mambastos ng tao. If the Mark fans want a new poll for Mark, request lang kayo and pagbibigyan ko kayo. OK?

I posted the emails that were sent to me regarding the irregularity in the polls because I want then to know that they were heard and that their concern matters to me. Yes, I currently do not have any real means to prove cheating in the polls. The software I am using to blog (WordPress) is the one managing the polls. So I don’t have any means possible to track ISPs and whatnots.

I am saddened by this weird turn of events which has made some commenters/readers/fans resort to flaming, baiting and basically trashing the image of others.

My goal for this blog is not to make it a venue for fans fighting and bashing. I hope that we all realize that this is just a poll. My blog isn’t even that popular. Katuwaan lang po.

And to those I have hurt or insulted with my warning and other posts/comments, I sincerely apologize. Hindi niyo po ako masisisi if I got mad when I learned about the “irregularity.”

Sana lang po, wag na natin palakihin ang gulo. I am trying very hard to cater to my readers’ wants, pero sana lang po, wag naman tayo masyadong demanding. Tao lang po ako, and yes I have biases, sana lang po wag tayong mag-akusa ng kapwa.

On the other hand, I am happy that you think this blog is a good enough venue for you to express your opinions and fight for your idols. Thank you!

To all Chikadora readers, kapuso, kapamilya, Jennylyn fans, Mark fans, Zanjoe fans, Chuck fans, Gian fans, to their haters and everybody else… let us put this things in perspective, showbiz lang po to… we have more important things in our lives and around us that also need the same passion that we pour into our showbiz idols and celebrities.
