For months now, there has been a buzz about a ground-breaking series which would incorporated Anime into a teleserye. The title of the so-called animeserye is Rounin. It will be topbilled by Agot Isidro and Diether Ocampo. Rounin will also star Angelica Panganiban, Rafael Rosell, Luis Manzano, Geoff Eigenmann, Nikki Gil, Joross Gamboa, AJ Dee, Juddha Paolo, Melissa Ricks, Shaina Magdayao and Rayver Cruz, and martial arts expert Monsour del Rosario.
The buzz started even wayyy before Luis’ Crazy for You even started filming. Crazy for You is now being aired but there are no real news about Rounin yet. But Luis has been mentioning it. And some of the cast members’ Ktext would occassionally mention their training for the show.
I think the concept is good and I appreciate the fact that ABS-CBN is finally taking things seriously and is taking their sweet time, in hopefully, developing this series well. I hope that the storyline is as good as Super Inggo’s.
The incorporation of Anime is a novel idea in the local setting but it has been done before, like in the Kill Bill movies. I think this is a good chance for local Filipino animators to show their stuff.
Rounin is supposed to start airing on January 16. I, for one, is looking forward to it.

ei more or less for a year now i’ve been hearing about rounin and i’m really excited about it. yeah agot and monsour were a couple before and now agot is happily married to advertising exwcutive manu sandejas and monsour is married to joy zapanta. i guess this will be the second time that agot and shaina will be working together in a fantasy show

at last me teaser n ng rounin..i cn’t wait..my frend..jearome calica trained diet,shaina and some other members of the cast in martial arts..my frend is once affliated with wushu fed philippines..i even got the chance to meet diet while on training at the Gymnastics center at rizal stadium with my friend, and rafael rosel has some capoeira training, (un martial arts ni eddy gordo sa tekken) so i wish it a smash hit..sayang nga lang hinde aq nksama sa mga extra talents with martial arts background because i was concentrating on my board exams at that time..well..i wish a sucess to them..and gs2 q mkakuha ng sample ng costumes nila..hehehe

well i defineely agree with you that abs-cbn now is taking things seriously, and thats really good, nakakasawa na kasi yung shows nila about inaapi and walang katapusang iyakan, however i heard that their new show is based on a computer game THE HELLS GATE LONDON well if thats true then all i can say is that we really are filipinos we love to imitate! but kudos kasi naman kahit papaano napapaganda natin ang mga ginagaya natin. yun lang.

ano ba yan, nawala na lahat ng expectations ko. Ang pangit ng storyline, napakanipis nung storyline!!! Akalo ko ba EPIKO!!! Asaan ba yung love conquers all ng Engcantadia!!! at first 2 episode pa lang ang GULO-GULO na ng story!!!! oo, maganda nga yung effects pero mas importante parin yung story!!! akalo ko masama yung Asian Treasures pero mas worst pa tong Rounin na to!!! Mabuti na lang sa Asian Treasures malakas ang hatak ni Angel, isang tingin pa lang sa kanya hindi na maalis. E sa Rounin, napaka miscast!!!

hi to awtz… ang ganda talaga ng rounin hindi ito mapapalitan.. ang ganda ng epiko… ang lahat nga dito sa amin todo sila nanood ng rounin sabi nga nila.. wag daw sila ipapabitin… heekz…
