ABS-CBN’s Komiks presents The Adventures of Pedro Peduko introducing PBB’s Matt Evans

I like it. All the actors were very good. everybody turned in flawless performances. Of course Gloria Romero was excellent as the overprotective Lola Maria. PBB’s Matt Evans is perfect as Pedro Penduko. Melissa Ricks has improved alot since the Star Circle Quest days. And TJ Trinidad fits his role well. another stand-out is Charles Christianson who is showing versatility by playing a bully. Agot Isidro and Albert Martinez’s short performances were heartfelt and induces sympathy. And of course, Bembol Roco is subtle yet very effective. Olyn Membiano, Kitkat and even NiƱa Jose delivers well.

The only thing I didn’t appreciate was the pace of the story. The story itself is good and very imaginative. But the pace is slow. And I’m worried because I heard that this will run for 20 weeks. But I hope the pacing will improve later on. I look forward to next week’s episode.

Sana po… less drama, romance stories. We get more than enough of that from the teleseryes, MMK, Your Song and Love Spell. Sana may comedies like Let’s Go, horror, suspense or mysteries. Or maybe even a mini-concert or fashion show. More variety pls!!!

Starstruck 4 auditions already started last September 3, in key cities nationwide. The tv show is set to be aired on November. A lot of fans are disappointed because there are still a lot of Starstruck products whose careers seem to be on a standstill. On the other hand, in my opinion, bringing in a new set of fresh talents which will stiffen the competition, will be in line with the show’s tagline of Dream, Believe, Survive.

At least POW Chavez and ARMS Cruz got in. But I’m very, very disappointed that IRA Marasigan and MAU Marcelo are not in the Top 4. BOOO!!!

Although I like JELI Mateo, I don’t think she deserves to be in the Top 4. And APPLE Chiu might be good enough to be a finalist, but she didn’t deliver last night.
