abangan bukas.â€ The viewers waited
with bated breath for this very
important development, only to learn
that the scheduled announcement was
put off for the next day. Toni did not
even explain why.

This is not the first time that PBB
misled its viewing public. This also
happened with the balut episode of
Tina. It was announced in TV Patrol
World and in the PBB Update of Bianca
Gonzales that the balut episode would
be shown on the PBB primetime edition
that evening. However, the primetime
episode only showed the same teaser
shown on TVPW and Update, with Toni
saying, â€œabangan ang buong kaganapan
bukas.â€

Are you doing this for the ratings, or
what? TV rating is the only possible
reason I can think of why you have to
fool the viewing public. And fool us,
you did.

GROSSLY BIASED EDITING OF THE
PRIMETIME EDITION

Since the first season, I have already
observed the one-sided editing of PBB
shown on primetime to favor certain
housemates. This season, the unfair
editing is so disgusting. You canâ€™t
blame us if we think you are trying to
protect a certain housemate because of
your very crude and biased editing, as
in garapal talaga.

I am referring in particular to Wendy
Valdez. It is very obvious that you
are favoring and protecting her
because you never show her bad side on
primetime, whereas you have no qualms
in showing the bad side of the other
housemates. Some of her bad behavior
which you did not show on primetime
include, but are not limited to, the
following :

1. Wendyâ€™s rudeness to Tina such as:
speaking in Tagalog while looking at
Tina then laughing out loud â€“ Tina
even had to ask her several times if
she (Wendy) wanted to say something;
while sharing a cigarette, Wendy
commented, â€œke bago bago, nakiki-
shareâ€; while they were together with
some other housemates, Tina was
talking about Europe then Wendy
said, â€œang boring,â€ and immediately
left; Wendy only talked to Tina
because BB gave her a task.
2. Wendy and her cohorts having their
backbiting sessions inside the prayer
room, neither were they punished. The
house rule state that, â€œThe prayer
room is a special spiritual place in
the Big Brother house where you can
contemplate, read the Bible or other
spiritual materials, and pray. You are
not allowed to hangout and conduct
other activities in the Prayer Room.
Keeping the place solemn is the rule.â€
3. Wendy violated the â€œno mouthing of
wordsâ€ rule. Even Bodie, her ally,
called her attention to this, but she
was not given an automatic nomination.
Her automatic nomination was for the
lapel microphone which she turned off.
4. She called Saicyâ€™s attention when
the latter started to hang out with
Gee-Ann, telling her, â€œakala ko doon
ka na sa kanila.â€ Apparently, she does
not want her minions to associate with
the other housemates. And she had the
gall to comment that the other girl
housemates do not hang out with them!
It is she herself who is creating a
faction with herself as leader. Those
not in her group are the subject of
their backbiting sessions.

There are more incidents of Wendyâ€™s
bad attitude never shown on primetime.

Another disgusting thing about
primetime is your tendency to show a
particular event several days late.
Whereas in the previous editions of
PBB, events occurring on a particular
day are shown on primetime the next
day, now itâ€™s shown two or three days
after. And some scenes are stretched
over several days like Wendyâ€™s
overacting reaction to Bruceâ€™s
leaving. The viewers had to suffer
through it for several days. Oh, come
on! We are fed up with the Wendy-
Bruce â€œloveteam.â€

I pity the viewers who rely only on
the primetime edition and do not
follow the events on the â€œ24/7â€
livestream. They are the ones being
duped. All TV viewers deserved to see
both the good and the bad side of each
housemate.

â€œ24/7â€ LIVESTREAMING

Some subscribers sarcastically call
the supposedly 24/7 live feeds as only
20/7. Why? Because they pay for 24/7
access but there are times you turn
the feeds off to compel them to watch
the unfolding events on primetime
instead. You are cheating the
subscribers of their money. And you
claim â€œtechnical reasonsâ€ as your
excuse. The subscribers are not stupid.

Another indication that you tend to
favor Wendy: There are times when the
two cameras showing the live feeds are
focused only on Wendy even when she is
not doing anything. Naka-tunganga lang
siya, pero nakatutok ang dalawang
camera sa kanya! There are other
housemates in the house, why focus on
Wendy alone? If your cameramen are so
smitten with Wendy that they cannot
help but focus on Wendy, at least
assign one camera to the other
housemates. The subscribers do not pay
good money just to watch Wendy on live
feed.

Would it be too much to ask for an
improvement in your management of PBB?

I used to be an avid follower of PBB
since season one but I am beginning to
wonder if season two is worth all the
trouble. I just hope your machination
wonâ€™t backfire on you.

After she got the money she enrolled herself AGAIN IN FEU. this was around 2003. and left her lover to rot in Japan. while she was with the JAP guy. she was engaged sexually with my cousin T.H. Morales. also a student in FEU. reason they broke up. He caught wendy in bed with another DOM. It is sad to admit that my cousin is a shabu addict and so is wendy.they have sessions with drugs and after they have loud *** ( i should know my cousin lives next to me i can hear them). from abs forum We’ve been reading a lot of, supposedly, conspiracy theories lately in threads whether it be here or sa PEX or wherever else. I’ve always taken them with a grain of salt.

Well, today some old friends whom I’ve worked with before, visited me at my office. They’ve been working for Channel 2 for the past 2 or 3 years now. Out of respect for my friends’ privacy (and job security), I am going to avoid mentioning their names and gender. Hindi maiwasan na I would ask them about PBB2, because I am naturally curious about the show and the naglipanang haka-haka about recent events. In itemized form, here is what ‘ve learned from them:

-(pinagalitan nila ako) Don’t waste money voting daw, because it is RIGGED ang RATINGS always come first before the amount of votes (the money generated from this is just a bonus for ABS dahil mayaman na sila, besides Cellphone networks ang talagang nakikinabang dito). Sabi ko, “eh di sayang pala pag-vote ng mga tao”. Hndi naman daw kase atleast may pagkukunan pa ng sweldo nila (half-meant na joke).

-Jeremy is supposed to be inside the house instead of Bodie, but Bodie has “kapit”.

-It really all comes down to RATINGS. And that is all there is to it. Not the text votes, not how much a housemate is loved or hated. Your e-mails do not matter, they are most likely to be ignored anyhow. Kahit mag-rally pa kayo sa harap ng ABS, hindi nila tatanggalin si Wendy hanggat humahatak siya sa ratings. Actually, matutuwa pa nga daw ABS pag may nag-rally sa harap with matching banners and placards kase mas conroversial, mas – all together now – mas mataas ang RATINGS. PBB thrives on conflict and controversy, mas madami nanonood, according to their researchers pag marami nito. Ng mawala daw si Wendy ay bumaba ang ratings – as in bumulusok pababa. AND PBB lost most of its MALE viewers too, because Wendy is, sort of the *** icon in PBB2. Let’s face it ang mga guys manyak sa mukhang “game” na babae kesa sa mga wholesome-looking. ABS wasn’t expecting na baba ang ratings nila when Wendy left, but they had to find a way to bring Wendy back into the PBB house, and yes, panakip-butas lang sila Zeke, Kian and Jasmine, no offense sa mga fans. Kahit di ako makapaniwala, my friends told me na madami nanonood ng Brendy moments. Pang “masa” kase sila. Sa kanila nakaka-relate ang mga poor. Di maka-ride ang masa with the likes of Gee and Mickey. Most of their supporters are middleclass and upperclass. And we know that the masa vastly outnumbers the middleclass or the upperclass. And let’s face it, *** sells – or atleast the idea of it. Gee-Ann and Mickey as a loveteam is too wholesome to be controversial. Majority of the masa viewers are not into “kilig” moments, but more into kontobersiya.

-THe Big winner will never be someone with “may kaya sa buhay”, pag mahirap ang nanalo pogi points for ABS nanaman sa masa. Grooming nila to be the big winner right now is Wendy(as long as she keeps the ratings up) or Nel (kase poor). Arguably, Bruce is poor too, pero plus factor na may “star quality” daw si Wendy na pwede mag-artista for looks and Nel kase komedyante. Tentative big 4 right now n ABS is Wendy, Nel, Bodie and Bruce or Gee-Ann (and Gee-Ann is still just a slight possibility at that – they are just keeping her “tentatively” kase she’s pretty and madaming fans. Pwede pa rin nila ilaglag dahil para lang si Franzen na nag-generate lang ng money dahil sa text votes. Pero when it comes to income from text versus ratings, nilaglag si Franzen para may slot si Uma and Cass. To think na dapat si Franzen ang big winner sa PBB1 kung i-base nila sa votes, again according to my sources). Gee-Ann, Mickey, Bea and rest have little chance of being part of the big 4 daw talaga no matter how much we vote. Not saying wala talagang chance. But the only way they would increase the odds of being part of the big 4 or atleast not getting evicted early in the game is to be controversial and generate high ratings. Nilaglag si Dionne kase wala na daw angle na pwedeng i-exploit sa istorya niya inside the house after the ZEKE story. Bea, after the Maricris issue, wala narin. Walang loveteam, walang conflict. paulit-ulit, I know. Pero that’s it talaga. Nothing can stand in the way of ratings. Pwede sabihin na a housemate would be safe as long as hindi ma-nominate, titirahin nila yan sa violation. It’s the game TV networks play. Sa 4 na nominated this week, si Yen daw ang pinaka-walang angle for any story kaya siya ang malamang na ilalaglag.

In a nutshell. Possible story angles = controversy = RATINGS. Nothing else matters. UUlitin ko, hindi daw ito labanan ng pera – Ratings lang. Ito ang mundo ng TV network wars. The ONLY way we could (could pa lang yan – a small fighting chance) against the Wendys on the tube, is to BOYCOTT. Stop watching the show when Wendy comes back. Only when and only then, pag ratings become worse will ABS ever think twice.

I know it’s all hearsay from friends, but I don’t see what they would gain from lying to me. In my defense I’ve never written any bad posts in this forum, impolite or otherwise and never ako nagkalat ng chismis or nanira ng respective bets ng ibang tao to sway other people’s opinions. As much as possible I’ve tried to be objective when it came to debates about issues and the like. I hope most of you would bear this in mind before you judge me.

I don’t know. Call it fatalistic, pero I’m giving PBB one last chance this week. Pag NATANGGAL SI YEN (as my friends said) this week, I would open my mind to the possibility na what my friends told me could happen and I am never spending a single centavo to vote. As of now, boycott ako sa PT, uplate, update, etc. anything that would contribute to ABS’ PBB ratings. As much as I love Gee and Mikcey, makikibalita na lang ako dito sa forums. Wala paring iwanan, kase nakakaawa sila they are being exploited. Pero kailangan talaga sumadsad ang ratings na PBB pag pasok ni Wendy. Only then I think will changes occur. Dun lang walang laban si Wendy, sa Ratings. Dun lang siya hindi ipagpapalit ng ABS. I apologize if I sound like a broken record, I guess I just can’t say it enough. I am just so disappointed. You could say I shoudn’t be affected, a TV show is not a hindrance to my life. I guess I am still clinging to some PRINCIPLES and the Idea that we could make a difference. That “they have rights who dare defend them”. If not by clamoring in the streets and by being loud, then by silent protest, by not watching the show, by BEATING them in their own game. Let the PBB2 RATINGS go down this week!

An Open Letter to PBB Management

I would like to express my disappointment with PBB season 2 and its management. I know this letter will most likely be ignored but still I would like to vent my frustration over three things: (1) the misleading announcements/teasers, (2) the grossly biased editing of the primetime edition, and (3) the livestreaming.

MISLEADING ANNOUNCEMENTS/TEASERS

In the April 28 episode of PBB on primetime, Toni Gonzaga announced that a housemate would be forcibly evicted, but the identity of the said housemate will be revealed on the next dayâ€™s episode, April 29. So the viewers waited with bated breath for the April 29 episode. However, the April 29 episode only showed the confrontation which transpired between Bea and Maricris, ending with Toniâ€™s pronouncement (again!), â€œkung sino ang mapapatawan ng forced eviction, abangan bukas.â€ The viewers waited with bated breath for this very important development, only to learn that the scheduled announcement was put off for the next day. Toni did not even explain why.
This is not the first time that PBB misled its viewing public. This also happened with the balut episode of Tina. It was announced in TV Patrol World and in the PBB Update of Bianca Gonzales that the balut episode would be shown on the PBB primetime edition that evening. However, the primetime episode only showed the same teaser shown on TVPW and Update, with Toni saying, â€œabangan ang buong kaganapan bukas.â€
Are you doing this for the ratings, or what? TV rating is the only possible reason I can think of why you have to fool the viewing public. And fool us, you did.

GROSSLY BIASED EDITING OF THE PRIMETIME EDITION

Since the first season, I have already observed the one-sided editing of PBB shown on primetime to favor certain housemates. This season, the unfair editing is so disgusting. You canâ€™t blame us if we think you are trying to protect a certain housemate because of your very crude and biased editing, as in garapal talaga.
I am referring in particular to Wendy Valdez. It is very obvious that you are favoring and protecting her because you never show her bad side on primetime, whereas you have no qualms in showing the bad side of the other housemates. Some of her bad behavior which you did not show on primetime include, but are not limited to, the following :

1. Wendyâ€™s rudeness to Tina such as: speaking in Tagalog while looking at Tina then laughing out loud â€“ Tina even had to ask her several times if she (Wendy) wanted to say something; while sharing a cigarette, Wendy commented, â€œke bago bago, nakiki-shareâ€; while they were together with some other housemates, Tina was talking about Europe then Wendy said, â€œang boring,â€ and immediately left; Wendy only talked to Tina because BB gave her a task.

2. Wendy and her cohorts having their backbiting sessions inside the prayer room, neither were they punished. The house rule state that, â€œThe prayer room is a special spiritual place in the Big Brother house where you can contemplate, read the Bible or other spiritual materials, and pray. You are not allowed to hangout and conduct other activities in the Prayer Room. Keeping the place solemn is the rule.â€

3. Wendy violated the â€œno mouthing of wordsâ€ rule. Even Bodie, her ally, called her attention to this, but she was not given an automatic nomination. Her automatic nomination was for the lapel microphone which she turned off.

4. She called Saicyâ€™s attention when the latter started to hang out with Gee-Ann, telling her, â€œakala ko doon ka na sa kanila.â€ Apparently, she does not want her minions to associate with the other housemates. And she had the gall to comment that the other girl housemates do not hang out with them! It is she herself who is creating a faction with herself as leader. Those not in her group are the subject of their backbiting sessions.
There are more incidents of Wendyâ€™s bad attitude never shown on primetime. I donâ€™t need to enumerate all, as I am sure, you are well aware of them. You just chose to ignore them to make Wendy look good on primetime.
Another disgusting thing about primetime is your tendency to show a particular event several days late. Whereas in the previous editions of PBB, events occurring on a particular day are shown on primetime the next day, now itâ€™s shown two or three days after. And some scenes are stretched over several days like Wendyâ€™s overacting reaction to Bruceâ€™s leaving. The viewers had to suffer through it for several days. Oh, come on! We are fed up with the Wendy-Bruce â€œloveteam.â€
I pity the viewers who rely only on the primetime edition and do not follow the events on the â€œ24/7â€ livestream. They are the ones being duped. All TV viewers deserved to see both the good and the bad side of each housemate.
â€œ24/7â€ LIVESTREAMING
Some subscribers sarcastically call the supposedly 24/7 live feeds as only 20/7. Why? Because they pay for 24/7 access but there are times you turn the feeds off to compel them to watch the unfolding events on primetime instead. You are cheating the subscribers of their money. And you claim â€œtechnical reasonsâ€ as your excuse. The subscribers are not stupid.

Another indication that you tend to favor Wendy: There are times when the two cameras showing the live feeds are focused only on Wendy even when she is not doing anything. Naka-tunganga lang siya, pero nakatutok ang dalawang camera sa kanya! There are other housemates in the house, why focus on Wendy alone? If your cameramen are so smitten with Wendy that they cannot help but focus on Wendy, at least assign one camera to the other housemates. The subscribers do not pay good money just to watch Wendy on live feed.

Would it be too much to ask for an improvement in your management of PBB?
I used to be an avid follower of PBB since season one but I am beginning to wonder if season two is worth all the trouble. I just hope your machination wonâ€™t backfire on you.

auditioners, as early as the
application process, we have to note
who we think will â€œattract the public
mostâ€ and who we think will â€œmake the
ratings go off the roof.â€ after the
initial screening, we had to choose
the top 100 of the batch, and even
though some did not â€œtheoretically
passâ€ the audition (some werenâ€™t able
to complete the documents needed),
since they have mass appeal, they made
it to the first cut, and some were
even included in the finalists that
entered the BB house.

as you all know, the eviction process
is supposed to be based on the votes
that the â€œnominated housematesâ€ – the
housemate with the lowest vote will be
evicted. i dont know about the
previous editions of the PBB (since i
only worked under this series this
season), but what surprised us the
most was when we were informed that
the voting only affects the decision
minimally – that the voting actually
shows who the public wants to see
again the following day – but that was
it. the truth is, there are so-
called â€œtalent auditors.â€ these people
are the ones who really put the big
decision as to who will be evicted,
and who will stay. of course, this

deny the fact that we receive millions
of votes during eviction night. that
is, until wendy was evicted, and then
later returned to join the housemates
who are legitimately still in the
contest. and the reason is this: the
wendy-bruce loveteam is working. have
you ever noticed why most of the
episodes are focused on the wendy-
bruce loveteam? it is because ratings
are really high, meaning that people
want to see how their relationship
develops.

i have never received this much
question about my work before. my
friends want to know how someone who
was already evicted be suddenly

MUKHANG SCRIPTED NGA

When i saw the proof that wendy was part of the Pinoy dream girl and she together with bruce are models managed by the same agency that was the time i started to believe that this is already scripted. Not to mention that they were able to put wendy back to the house. I think the management is promoting a love team for the 2 so they could sell them after the PBB2 season. Sana naman hanggang promotion na lang ng love team ang gawin nyo. wag nyo na sanang gawing status symbol para manalo pa yang mga yan. NAKAKASUKA NA KAYO.

MANIPULATION

During the week, the cameras and issues were focused on the 3 girls and bruce. As presented in the show i and also the other viewer would perceive that the 3 girls and bruce were the only ones nominated. it was not clarified who the people would vote for. Even in the uplate show, mariel always said â€œbumoto na kayoâ€ after expounding much on the issue of wendy, the 2 other girls and Bruce. advertisement on who to vote for were presented individually not explaining to the public that all the housemates are nominated. so, who would you expect to get the highest vote.

NEL WAS A VICTIM OF FAILURE OF ELECTION

The show dwelled to much on the issue of the 3 girls and bruce as if the 4 were the only housemates nominated. only in the middle of the week(Thursday) did i(or even the other viewers) were informed that it was a fake nomination. It was already too late for the other housemates who were not in the picture and their fans to catch up for the votes which the other housemates had already had a jump start. Unfortunate for Nel that he was casted out of oblivion that the viewers or his fans were not able to save him.

MICKEY

i hope Mickey wonâ€™t suffer the same fate as Nel. maganda pa naman ang values & attitude na ipinakikita ni Mickey. When given the task, he will try his best to accomplish it even if the other housemates were against him. Kahit noong naiinis sya sa mga kasama nya, he knows how to hold his temper and show his feeling in a mature & educated way. he also showed great determination. i hope that his values and attitude should be expounded more for the younger generation to immitate.

MY DISAPPONTMENT

the reason why i donâ€™t watch ABS-CBNâ€™s News programs is because i feel that the news, issues and comments were already scripted (and invented) that they interview people to pull the words they wanted out of their mouths. they always have reasons to blame the government on certain issues (yun bang kahit bumaba na ang dollar or bumaba na price ng gasolina meron pa ring isisisi sa gobyerno). pati ba naman dito sa PBB2 minamanipulate pa rin nila. pumapangit tuloy ang show.

VALUES

what values does ABS-CBN wanted to promote to the Filipno people. Does the management wanted to promote MENDICACY like they do in WOWOWEE. Nakanganga na lang ang tao in the hope na me maaawa sa kanila at bibigyan na lang sila ng kanilang pangangailangan. un bang ang mahihirap lang ang dapat manalo dahil sila ang mas ngangailangan ng pera or prizes at hindi yung talagang mga deserving ang manalo. Kung ang plano nyo ay manalo pa si wendy o bruce anong values naman ang dapat i-idolize sa kanila.

Wake-up ABS-CBN. You know that you could reach the Filipino people even in the country side. You have the power of information or misinformation. you have the power to suggest consciously or subconsciously. Help in promoting good attitude, values & discipline among the Filipino people instead. Wala na sana ung mga intriga at pagpapamukha sa mga tao na sila ay aping api to the point na hindi na sila gumagalaw dahil meron namang puwedeng sisihin sa kanilang mishaps. tanggalin nyo na yung attitude na pag nagkasala o mali ang tao ay sasabihin lang nila na dahil sa mahirap lang sila at gobyerno ang dapat sisihin. tumulong sana kayo na maging maayos ang pananaw nila sa buhay at mawala na ang puro reklamo. sana ay itanim nyo sa isip ng tao na kaya nating umasenso basta me disiplina lang at tyaga at me pagmamahal sa Diyos, sarili at kapwa.

Hindi na nga nakakapagtaka kung bakit ganun ang shape ng boobs ni wendy, madami na nga siguro talagang lalaki ang gumamit sa kanya kaya ang baba na ng boobs nya. ABSCBN, please wag nyong payagan na masali si wendy sa big four dahil kahit isang reason hindi sya deserving na makakuha ng price. Now that PBB2 is over,dapat mag-decide na ang mga viewers ng ABSCBN to protect themselves from a repeat of the bad treatment they received from this channel. I offer 2 choices–iwanan nyo na ang ABSCBN, or hwag na kayong magsayang ng pera by texting/voting sa future PBB seasons (or any tv show/promo for that matter). Ang importante, maintindihan nating lahat —NALOKO ANG VIEWERS! I’m just another ABS viewer but I never voted so in this aspect hindi ako naloko. Pero victim din ako dahil nuod ako nang nuod…mistakenly thinking that the PBB/ABS management was not all about ratings or money. Wala palang PUSO! Nasaan na…nasa kabila?

about wendemonya:

1) â€œANAYâ€ tawag ni ruffa kay wendemonya when she guested at the buzz. matindi kasi manira ang anay.

2) being objective:

ayaw ni kris aquino na laging pinangangalandakan ni wendemonya ang pagiging mahirap niya dahil di lang naman siya ang mahirap. yong iba pang pbb housemates ay mahirap din naman.

pbb is not about rich or poor but its about ones character.

walang duda na di naintindihan ni wendemonya ang pagiging objective nina bea at g-ann kasi SUPER BOBO nga siya.

3) accdg. to direk wenn, di ka puwede umasta ng kabastusan sa loob ng ibang pamamahay w/c wendemonya did in pbb house instead you should be a role model.

4) boy abunda ask wendemonya how she badly needs the 1 milyon pesos again she refuse to accept she needs it.

this only shows how SUPER PLASTIC wendemonya is.

5) accdg. to say alonzo, you can be frank without being bastos and act w/o breeding.

6) wendemonya said she and brucenungaling can hardly forgive. so why ask forgiveness now outside the pbb house.

bec. she knows she needs to do it not for sincerity but for the sake of her career. FORGET IT.

when bea and g-ann ask forgiveness she canâ€™t forgive.

7) now sheâ€™s questioning why her family is included in all the scandals and evilness she has done. ITâ€™S ALL BECAUSE OF HER AND NOT THE WENDY HATERS. WENDEMONYA PROVOKE THE PEOPLE TO HATE HER & HER FAMILY.

when she did all the kabastusan and all her paninira to bea & g-ann, did she think that beaâ€™s family and g-annâ€™s family were hurt very much of her evilness to them.

9) g-ann never have any hurt feelings for wendemonya and brucenungaling eventhough they voted/nominated for her several times.

10) wendemonya always do kiss and makeup but always backbite g-ann, bea and other housemates after the HUGS & KISSES.

wendemonya is SUPER PLASTIC.

11) wendemonya always wanted to be a bida at the expense of other people.

WENDEMONYA IS SUPER USER AND SOCIAL CLIMBER.

12) BOTTOM LINE, WENDEMONYA DOESNâ€™T DESERVE ANY FORGIVENESS AND FORGIVENESS IS ONLY FOR THOSE WHO SINCERELY HUMBLED THEMSELVES.
