Cutting Edge Productions’ Dayo sa Mundo ng Elementalia, the first ever animated film entry accepted to the Metro Manila Film Festival will fascinate moviegoers starting December 25, 2008 as Dayo opens in theater nationwide.
Dayo sa Mundo ng Elementalia is a movie about an 11-year-old boy named Bubuy who tries to save his beloved grandparents who have been abducted into Elementalia — a mysterious, mystical, and magical land house to the popular creatures from Philippine Mythology.
Characters from Cutting Edge Productions’ Dayo sa Mundo ng Elementalia would be brought to life by the voices of famous actor and actress from the local industry. The team of voice actors and actress include Nash Aguas, Katrina “Hopia†Legaspi, Nova Villa, Michael V., Pokwang, Peque Gallaga, Johnny Delgado, Laurice Guillen, Gabe Mercado and Pocholo Gonzales to name a few.
Internationally acclaimed singer Lea Salonga, sings Lipad, the official theme song of Dayo sa Mundo ng Elementalia. Jessie Lasaten also the executive producer of Dayo did the musical score and recorded with FILharmoniKA conducted by Gerard Salonga.
Dayo sa Mundo ng Elementalia is the 3rd Filipino-produced full-length animated film — first was FTL Films’ Ibong Adarna and second was APT Entertainment Inc.’s Urduja. Dayo sa Mundo ng Elementalia is set for release on December 25, 2008 and an official entry to the 34th Metro Manila Film Festival.
