As posted on the Philippine Entertainment Portal and reported over Startalk, young actor Marky Cielo died at dawn of December 7, 2008. The cause of death has yet to be determined. He was 20 years old. However, a report said that Marky Cielo died on his sleep.
GMA 7 is yet to release an official statement regarding this matter.
Marky was a part of StarStruck Batch 3 where he won as the Ultimate Survivor. Aside from winning StarStruck he also appeared in various GMA TV shows. He was a mainstay of the Sunday musical variety show SOP and primetime television show, La Lola.
His remains now lies at St. Peter’s Chapel in Quezon City
