For months, there have been talks about the alleged break-up of Jomari Yllana and Pops Fernandez but the two kept mum about the issue. In an interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal via phone patch last Mar. 2, 2009, Jomari Yllana admitted that it’s been two weeks that they haven’t talk with each other since their break-up.
Jomari clarified that he didn’t initiate the break-up with Pops. Yllana thinks that their “irreconcilable indifference” is one the reasons of their break-up. With their almost three-year relationship, it is only the past two weeks that their fights and arguments become more often and uncontrollable.
“Never kaming nag-away ni Pops.
“Nagtatalo kami, pero pagkatapos nun, okey na uli. Yung pagtatalo namin, mga mababaw lang. Pero ito, iba,” said Yllana.
He also explained that there was no “third party” involved in this break-up.
“First time itong nangyari sa amin, e. Yung una, cool off lang. Sandali lang yun, nagkaayos uli kami. Pero ito kasi, may usapan na,” he recalled.
Aside from acting, Jomari is keeping himself busy by producing concerts. He is now working on the nationwide tour of Missing You and the upcoming Philippine concert of American Idol 2008 winner, David Cook on May 16, 2009.
Pops Fernandez is yet to speak regarding their break-up with Jomari Yllana.
