From photographer and newbie film director Eight Espino and film maker Lenin Angelo Laviña comes a film about fame, fortune, and the rollercoaster ride that goes with it…

The Price of Fame is a Davaoeño indie film, Maqer Media’s entry to the 5th Mindanao Film Festival. It presents a view on the celebrity life and how one star’s myopic worldview is challenged.

Perhaps the most contemporary, and probably the only entry that is close to mainstream, The Price of Fame promises to be an interesting film to watch out for this MFF.

Unfortunately, the film has been rate R 18 by the MTRCB.

Do watch out for it, along with the other MFF entries, during the MFF School Tour:

  • December 7 – UP-Mindanao, ADDU
  • December 8 – UP-Mindanao, USEP, MATS College of Technology
  • December 9 – ADDU, HCDC
  • December 10 – Holy Cross Academy of Sasa
  • December 11 – HCDC, DCNHS

And at the Gaisano Mall of Davao Cinemas on December 19 and 20.
