ASAP IT Girls vs SOP Cover Girls

There’s only one reason why I wake up before my waking time every day. That reason is Anne Curtis on Showtime. And she’s also one of the reasons why I watch ASAP XV. Her and the ASAP IT Girls… You’re asking who they are? WATCH THIS…

The ASAP It Girls is composed of Anne Curtis, Iya Villania, Maja Salvador, Bea Alonzo, and Shaina Magdayao. The group also includes Angelica Panganiban. She’s not in the Nobody number but she sizzles with the rest of them like in this Britney Spears-inspired production number. I like most of them, except one. Take a guess. Anyhow, they manage to make our television screens sizzle with sexiness every Sunday, yes? I LOVE THEM!

Imagine my surprise when I changed the channel once and saw this…

Uhmmm… ohhhkayyyy… Gaya-gaya much? The Cover Girls is composed of Bianca King, Lovi Poe, Carla Abellana, and Glaiza Castro. Individually, I am a fan of two of the girls. Bianca is very pretty, but forcing her to sing long lines solo won’t do her any good. And Glaiza is a good actress, dancer, and singer and with her ABS-CBN training, she might just be the only one in the group who’s up for something like this. The other two, I am apathetic towards but their pretty enough. They also seem very uncomfortable with the group packaging thing.

And oh, didn’t ASAP had the Cover Boys once? John Lloyd Cruz + Zanjoe Marudo + Jon Avila + Victor Basa + Rafael Rosell = YUUUUM!

SOP, apparently, had another group that went heads up with the IT Girls. But this group doesn’t exist anymore? It was composed of Glaiza, Maxene Magalona, Arci Muñoz, Pauleen Luna, Jolina Magdangal, Sunshine Dizon, and Heart Evangelista called the Beautiful Girls. WEH?! First, ANG LABO NG AGE GROUP! Second, ANG LABO NG CHEMISTRY! Third, they didn’t do anything differently from the Wonder Girls… same outfit, same choreography. And the group is nowhere to be found anymore… so need I say more?

The Cover Girls has no chance in hell, no chance at all to compete with the IT Girls. Sorry SOP. Better ideas please.
