I watched Super Noypi with the hope that it would a great movie, considering that Quark Henares is its director. But I was terribly disappointed. The story was horrible. It was a very bad throwback to campy Pinoy teenybopper caper movies of the 80s. There were too many unneccessary scenes and the special effects were nothing special. SHEESH!!!

One of the most-awaited movies this year is Super Noypi, directed by Quark Henares. The movie features young stars from both the Kapamilya and Kapuso Networks. Leading the pack are John Prats and Polo Ravales. Also featured are talent search winners Jennylyn Mercado, Sandara Park and Mark Herras, and runner-up Katrina Halili. Child actor Andrew Muhlach is also in the film. Victor Neri stars as the villain.

After the success of Close To You, Star Cinema and Unilever are teaming up once again to produce a movie based on a popular deodorant commercial: First Day High. The movie will star Geoff Eigenmann as Rebel Gael, Maja Salvador as Sosy Pre and Jason Abalos as Nice Guy Nathan. The movie will introduce into the silver screen PBB Teens Kim Chiu as Brainy Indi and Gerald Anderson as MVP MJ2. The five star as college freshmen who face the fun and hardships of adjucting to college life. Their lives become more complicated as each one of them are investigated as suspects in a mystery at their college.

Twilight Dancers is said to be the last installation of director Mel Chionglo and writer Ricky Lee’s trilogy about Macho Dancers. The first one was Sibak: Midnight Dancers (1994), and the second part was Burlesk King (1999). This final film star Starstruck 1’s Tyron Perez. Tyron has not only a butt exposure for this movie, but also kissing scenes with other men and even frontal nudity.

The movie also stars Cherry Pie Picache, Allen Dizon, Glaiza de Castro, Arnel Ignacio, IC Mendoza, Ana Capri, William Martinez, Lauren Novero and Joel Lamangan.

Finally, after months of delay and waiting, Star Cinema’s Sukob will be shown on July 26, 2006. Sukob stars Kris Aquino, Claudine Barretto, Wendell Ramos, Bernard Palanca, Maja Salvador and Glaiza de Castro. It is directed by Chito Roño. It is said to be Kris’ last movie, for a while.
