In the premiere episode of Ilumina, Romana (Rhian Ramos) is delivering a narrative while battling her twin, Krisanta (Jackie Rice).

Minsan dumarating sa buhay natin na gusto na lang natin mag-isa. Na para bang gusto na lang natin matakasan ang mundo. Pero minsan kahit na anong tago natin, kahit na anong kubli natin, may mga taong hindi tayo kayang iwasan. Isang tao na hindi natin pwedeng takasan.

Mortal kaming magkaaway. Magkaiba. Tulad ng liwanag at dilim. Ilang beses ko siyang gusto iwasan pero pilit kaming pinaglalapit ng tadhana. Dahil siya ay kadikit ng aking buhay, kadugtong ng aking hininga, at salamin ng aking kaluluwa. Dahil ang katotohanan, siya at ako ay minsan naging isa.

Starstruck 4 auditions already started last September 3, in key cities nationwide. The tv show is set to be aired on November. A lot of fans are disappointed because there are still a lot of Starstruck products whose careers seem to be on a standstill. On the other hand, in my opinion, bringing in a new set of fresh talents which will stiffen the competition, will be in line with the show’s tagline of Dream, Believe, Survive.

After Jackie Rice was declared as the Ultimate Female Survivor, I was kinda nervous that Marky Cielo would lose to Gian Carlos. But I was greatly relieved when Marky was declared as Ultimate Male Survivor because it assured me that he would win as the Ultimate Sole Survivor.

Although I had an inkling that GMA 7 would pick Jackie over Iwa Moto, I was still disappointed that Iwa lost. But there is really nobody else to blame but Iwa herself. She dug her own grave. Even if she was clearly more talented, she gave GMA 7 and the people the loophole to make her lose.

I was kinda taken aback when TH Louie Ignacio pointed out that the “other station” cannot claim to having the “Bad Boy ng Dancefloor.” Can somebody please, please, please enlighten me about this. I cannot recall an instance when ABS-CBN claimed to have that title.

My choices for the Starstruck Final Four:

CHUCK Allie is a good actor, very articulate and has charisma. His dancing skills are ok and his singing is not totally a lost cause. A smart performer.

MARKY Cielo was the best in the bunch but lost steam over time. Still he remains to be a strong contender. A great dancer, good actor and a respectable singer.

20% talents

Just as I was about to love this girl, Starstruck goes on to destroy her chances by making her sing on national television. I think she and Gian might get booted off this Sunday. Kawawa naman…

Poor Jackie Rice.

Last Sunday, right before the eliminations, the remaining Starstruck survivors (and the viewers, as well), had the shock of their lives when they were informed that a handful of them are going to face stiff sanctions for breaking a rule. For that, Sara Larsson was eliminated from the show. (But I think it was more than just her curiosity which “killed” her.)
