A new set of challengers face a new set of challenges.  The series of challeges is entitled "Malakas at Maganda."  Female celebrity challengers are dressed up as male icons and perform tasks which are usually done by men.  Inversely, male celeberity challengers dress up as female icons and perform female tasks.

The Challengers
The female challengers are Nancy Castiliogne dressed up as Charlie Chaplin, Pauleen Luna as Elvis Presley, and Patricia Ismael as Michael Jackson.  Meanwhile, Mike Tan is dressed up as Madonna, Jake Cuenca as Britney Spears and Pikoy (of Sugo) is Tina Turner.  The guys even wear ladies’ underwear while the girls wear briefs. HEHE!

 First Challenge
The challenge for the girls is to wash windows while being suspended from a high-rise bulding.  While the guys are tasked to pose for a photo shoot.

The new season of GMA 7′s Sunday afternoon romance drama series will begin today.

Love-An o Bawi

Ciara Sotto, Paolo Ballesteros, Jopay Paguia (of the SexBomb Dancers) and Ian Veneracion star. Ciara and Jopay play probinsyana cousins who venture into the metro in the hopes of attaining fame and fortune via the entertainment industry. Paolo, of course, plays Ciara’s love interest. Months ago, a showdown between Star Cinema’s Dreamboy and GMA Films’ Let the Love Begin occured. In that round, GMA Films brought in the money and the win. Apparently, GMA Films’ strategy of bringing together two love teams was able to draw in larger crowds. Alangan naman, combine the fan base of Jennylyn Mercado and Mark Herras plus Angel Locsin and Richard Gutierrez. Siyempre mas marami yun than the combined fans of just Bea Alonzo and Piolo Pascual.

So now, Star Cinema is fighting fire with fire.

This September, GMA Films is coming out with Lovestruck starring Jennylyn Mercado, Mark Herras, Yasmien Kurdy, Rainier Castillo, Mike Tan, Ryza Cenon, CJ Muere, and LJ Reyes, and a bunch of other young stars. They are all cast in a single story of confusing love triangles among young people. Napaka-unique ng idea, right?

Similarly, this September, Star Cinema is releasing All About Love, a trilogy of three separate love stories. One episode stars John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo. Another one stars Anne Curtis and Luis Manzano. The third episode stars Angelica Panganiban and Jason Abalos (SCQ2 Finalist).
