ABS-CBN‘s latest youth-oriented show is different in the sense that it does not strive to be serious. It is actually a sitcom megged by comedian Edgar “Bobot” Mortiz. However, the concept is not really new. It is similar to the Korean channel Arirang‘s widely popular and successful show, Non-Stop which gained popularity even here in the Philippines.
The story is simple, a bunch of stereotyped college students, male and female, live in one dormitory. They usually hang out in the reception area / living room of the dormitory. They get into trouble and a lot of supposedly funny situations while building relationships (platonic and romantic) amongst themselves.
The series episode title today is Langit-Lupa. I think this episode will focus on the socio-economic disparity between Mhyco and Hazel, as well as three other couples. The halves which belong to the upper status (Langit) are Hazel, Alwyn, Carla and Mikel. On the other hand the those who have relatively poor characters are Mhyco, Jill, Janus and Paw. Me thinks Mhyco will be the narrator/voice-over for this episode.
We’ll see later…

Vote JARLA by texting Qpids 4 to 2366!!!
The episode was entitled Taguan and I super liked it. I love the fact that Jilwyn and Jarla were given interesting roles. Alwyn was even the vo/narrator.
I still hate Pawel and I hate them more today. Mhyzel is still irritating but not as irritating as Pawel.
Finally, the Carlo Aquino-Vanessa Gomez (CarlVane) love team was booted out last Sunday. I was hoping that the Paw-Mikel (Pawel) love team would be the one to leave. Pwede na rin. Vanessa was just to damn unlucky the past week: her apartment was ransacked, she was personally held up, then she was booted off the show. Though I don’t like her much, naaawa pa rin ako.
Buti na lang it was the Jill-Alwyn (Jilwyn) tandem which got the Immunity Bear and not Hazel & Mhyco (Mhyzel). ARGH! I know they’re probably gonna win, but I am still hoping they won’t. I am hoping that either the Carla-Janus (Jarla) or the Jilwyn team wins.
Kaya lang, parang may tampuhan ang Jarla team. Last Sunday, it seemed like they were trying to avoid each other. Bakit kaya???
Anyhow, the show pulled a “surprise” by announcing that the four remaining teams are now considered as the finalists. The four teams are now going to star in a mini-youth series which will run for five weeks. After which, the finals will be held. Hmmm…
