Well, it was no surprise that Joaquin got booted off. All the teen housemates nominated him, and practically the entire Philippines hated him. In fairness sa kanya, he became a bit endearing and less irritating to watch towards the end of his stay in the Pinoy Big Brother house. However, I still don’t think he has enough supporters for him to make it in showbiz.

On the other hand, it was kinda shocking to hear that Fred Payawan was leaving the house. Not because he was well-loved but because everybody thought Clare had a smaller fan base/supporters. Anyhow, Fred’s leaving the house might put to rest the doubts regarding his sexuality. Or maybe it won’t. Who knows? Either way, Fred’s stay in the house was good exposure for him, if he plans to proceed with a showbiz career.

Ever since the teens entered the Pinoy Big Brother house two weekends ago, viewers and fans have been speculating that at least one teen is gay. Unfortunately, Fred Payawan has been one of the targets of the speculation.

So what do think? Bading nga ba ang Perfectionist Hunk ng Parañaque? Or budding “metrosexual” lang???

The verdict is out. Rico, the lovesick, absent-minded “hunk” is now evicted from the Pinoy Big Brother Out.

I just heard from an unimpeachable source that Chx and Rico already knew each other even before they joined Pinoy Big Brother.

Both Rico and Chx were supposedly hired as models for a marketing campaign in Olongapo for a very popular multi-national food conglomerate. This means they worked together before, about a year ago. Somebody who worked with them told me that even Chx’s boyfriend worked with them also as a model for that gig. So Rico knows Chx’s bf personally and vise-versa.

So is this a twist in the show? Or do the PBB producers know nothing about these two’s previous working history? Either way, this revelation will probably fuel speculations that Rico is acting out a plan with Chx as an accomplice in order to win the million pesos, the house and lot, and the car.

DAY 16

7:50 am The guys are preparing breakfast for the girls as punishment for their botched group assignment the day before. As usual lambingan ever ang mga mag-love teams na sila Cass and Uma and JB and Say.

9:01 am The girls iron the boys shirts as their own punishment for the failed mission.

The housemates are given a new task. The housemates bet only 50%. Then, they meet their weekly task: Dwight the dog which they have to train and take care of for a week.

2:05 pm Rico is trying to train the dog. Meanwhile, the backbiting starts as JB, Say and Chx secretly agree amongst themselves that Uma would have been a better lead trainor.

3:34 pm Confessional:
Cass defends herself and her confrontation of the boys the night before.
Bob thinks Cass is papansin. He thinks binastos rin sila ni Cass and kasinungalingan na never pa nabastos ang beauty ni Cass.
Franzen thinks that what Cass and the other girls did was tama. And if he were in their place, he would be angry too.
Jenny: Expresses her sama ng loob but that she wasn’t really offended by what was said. She just wanted to boys to be quiet because they were sleeping.
Nene thinks that the boys’ talk was no big deal and that Cass over reacted.
Chx tells Big Bro that she is teaching herself not to like Rico anymore. That “baka hindi na bumalik yung dati.”
Uma explains that he cried during the mass because he suddenly felt homesick because he is the only Muslim in the Big Bro house.

4:21 pm Say comforts the worried Franzen and tells him to think positive. Nene tells him not to think too much and to just keep on eating.

4:27 pm Racquel is massaging Bob whose head is rested on Racquel’s lap. Nene is nearby and seems balisa and quite jealous. She even sings “May gusto ka bang sabihin….”

9:01 pm JB tells Say about his secret cigarette stash.

9:00 pm JB and Bob rant about the weekly assignment. Say joins in the conversation and they begin to talk about Cass being domineering.
Dwight makes poo poo and harasses Cass. HEHE!

10:35 pm Big Bro sends out an instruction through Jayson. Di dapat ikulong si Dwight. For that night, he will be staying at the boys’ room then the next night, at the girls’ room, so on.
The housemates are also instructed to talk about showbiz, politics and their family and friends. Uma predicts that they (the housemates themselves) are the hottest issues. Say predicts that sexy stars, Madam Auring, Mahal and Keanna Reeves are still on the news.
They correctly guess that the impeachment and cha-cha issues are not yet done with.
And they all miss their loved ones.
They return to the topic of showbiz and talk about their showbiz aspirations. Uma and Cass debate about sexy starlets. Cass insists that “kelangan talaga gumimik.” Bob that PBB will most likely open up opportunities in showbiz for them. JB does not deny that gusto niya talaga mag-showbiz.

11:00 pm JB, Say and Uma backbite Cass, Jenny and Jayson.

11:10 pm Inside the house, Jenny, Racquel and Cass are talking about Cass’ life. Say butts in (thinking that they were still talking about the sexy starlet issue) that nobody in the house is judging Cass. Defensive ang lola mo! Cass then tries to explain that they are talking about a different topic. She assures Say not to worry because she is not affected by all the talk on sexy starlets.

DAY 15

The housemates’ day begin with a breakfast of tortang talong.  Diet ever ang housemates because they only have P1,500 for the week.

Rico relates his experience of almost getting killed by a Yakuza in Japan.  Cass also relates her Japan experience.  Then, the topic jumps to Chinese and their funeral rituals.  Cass tells a story about how her ex-boyfriend introduced her to his grandma in the cemetery because dead na pala si lola.  HEH!

Through out the day, Say and JB isolate themselves from the group and gripe together about their housemates’ behavior.  JB is being maarte and does not want to eat talong for lunch kasi daw Sunday.  ARTE ANG GAGO!  After lunch, JB continues to complain that only Say and another person appreciated his Picadillo.  WHATEVER JB! 

5:01 pm Chx confesses that nagsisisi na siya na binoto niya si Franzen.  She forgot that Franzen has a family to feed and for that she is sorry. Cass is feeling gulity for her nominations.  Say and Uma were both shocked that Franzen was nominated.  Bob is sad because neither Cass nor Uma was up for eviction.  Racquel waxes philosophical and says she is not totally disappointed that she was nominated but she is sad for her mom and her family.  Franzen is also sad because he will miss his housemates, the tasks and living in the PBB house.  He suspects that Uma, JB, Cass, Say, Chx, Racquel, Jenny and Nene voted for him

 3:28 pm Big Bro hands out a task to both the girls and the boys.  Both groups are tasked to surprise the other upon Big Bro’s signal.  The girls connive to serve dinner in the garden and perform a song.  The boys plan to do a sexy Harana number.  The girls ask the boys to stay in the room.  Bob thinks its a race so they proceed to eat in the dining room, defiant of the girls’ request that they go outside.  Before the boys go outside, they go back to their rooms and strip down to their shorts.  They go out of the room into the garden and do their song number.  Ayaw patalo ng mga lola so sing din sila at nauwi sa isang showdown and assignment.

The housemates hear mass.  The homily is about living in a community and love as justice anticipated.  Uma is nearly in tears after the mass.

8:48 pm The housemates are informed that neither group performed the task properly.  The boys performed even without the signal from Big Bro and one of the girls told the boys that there was going to be a surprise.  As punishment, the girls have to iron two shirts of each guy.  The guys have to serve the girls breakfast in the bed the next morning.

10:28 pm Cass and Chx are in the bedroom talking about Cass and Uma.  (Actually, medyo deadma si Chx sa mga pinagsasabi ni Cass.)  Meanwhile, in the living room, Uma, JB and Say are talking about the same thing.  It could have been an interesting debate had they been talking to each other together. 

12:31 am The boys are having a sex talk.  They are also talking about the female housemates.  Say and Cass, who are still awake, overhear the boys.  Cass and Say knock on the boys’ room but no confrontation happens YET.  The boys try to go to the girls’ room to clarify things, but they immediately run away when Cass opens the door.  Franzen, Jayson and Rico hide out in the CR.

Jen awakes and she joins Cass and Say in confronting the boys.  The boys clarify that they were not disrespecting the girls.  They admit they were talking about Nene and her behind. Cass says that she was nabastos and insulted because the female housemates were made as "laughing staffs" by the boys.  Franzen admits that he has a crush on Nene.  The housemates end the dispute with tawanan.

My opinion: I think that Racquel will be the first one out. But judging from the throngs of people who vote for her in the PBB polls, Rico is also in danger. I think that there is no way that Franzen is getting the boot.

Jenny and Jason are playing a good game in being friendly and getting along with both sides of the supposed division lines in the house. Meanwhile, Chx, despite of being aligned with the so-called “Pasa” group, is safe, primarily because she is staying under the radar.

First Eviction is next week, September 10, 2005. So shell out your P2.50 and VOTE!

8 am The housemates are roused from their sleep by Big Bro. Nene leads the prayer before they eat breakfast. Bob, Racquel and Rico hang out together. Nene takes a swim. Cass cleans the table and the plates. Racquel is hanging her laundered clothes. Jayson mops the floor in between the dining and living room areas.
